What it is
A series of passsenger lists with over 7,400 passengers from Ireland. Each passenger is given along with the ships name that they arrived in, date of departure, port of departure and arrival. In some cases the county from which the Irish passenger resided is given. The listing of passengers given (spanning the years of 1811 - 1847 - most are from the earlier dates.) in the these pages sometimes gives place of origin. That is a valuable piece of information often not found in ship lists.

Research Tip
When conducting Irish Family Research be sure to remember that the spelling of Irish names can change. Note also that the O' and the Mac prefix appearing before so many Irish surnames has also been added and dropped at will. From the archives of the Irish Genealogical Foundation.
