Dublin, Ohio Irish Academy Classes!

The Dublin Irish Festival Academy presents an opportunity
to study with some of the best Irish musicians and experts
of Irish culture, arts and dance. For 2010, we have changed
the venue and day of the Academy. All classes will take place
during the day on Friday, August 6, the first day of the Dublin
Irish Festival. All classes will be held at the Crowne Plaza Dublin.

Top Instructors
The Academy workshops will be taught by some of the top
names in Irish music, members of the bands you will hear
play at the Dublin Irish Festival.

All levels
The classes are designed to provide students age 12 and older
an up-close and personal learning experience that will enhance
their understanding of Irish music and culture. A variety of
classes will be held at the beginner, intermediate,
intermediate/advance and advanced levels.”

Irish Hedge School Genealogy Class
I am bringing along $1,000 worth of Irish Family History books
to browse in class for starters.  We will also demonstrate a DNA
test for Genealogy purposes.  We’ll cover a whole lot of territory
including Irish Names; The Famine; The Internet; The Wild Geese
that fled to the continent in the 17th century; The Irish arriving
in the U.S.; Canada; and Australia; The Hedge Schools and a whole
lot more.
I’ll also show you how to do a family history broadcast, and
even include your family history in our next show if desired.
