Genealogy at the Dublin Irish Fest
We have consulted and exhibited for 15 years or so,
and it is time to summarize who we are and what
we will have on hand..on Aug. 1 and 2 this year.

Genealogy Books
For starters we will bring the genealogy books that
I have written on each and every county in Ireland.
That is a 34 book series, with two books on some
counties! I only bring one copy of each book.
This includes the lead volume to the set, the new
4th edition of Irish Families, great and small.

History Books I have reprinted
I will bring some of the hard bound books that I
have reprinted over the years as well, including
the Annals of Ireland by the Four Masters. If you
are interested in one of my titles, let me know
and I will bring a copy with me. see book link above.
You might choose Missouri Irish the original history
or Keatings History of Ireland etc.

Our Irish DNA group at Familytreedna
We started a users group up at about
six years ago. Now we have almost 800 members.
You can get the form to enroll at our booth, and
then send it on to familytreedna and join up with
our Irish Families group on their web site. We
are also glad to explain what we can about Irish DNA.
Click the link at the beginning of this blog for more.

Worlds First Irish Genealogy Podcast
We began the first Irish Family History podcast series
around 2006. Over 100 episodes are online for free and
we cover many Irish family names, resources and
records. In all I have produced and hosted 300 shows.
See the link to my free shows at top of this article.

Irish Heraldry and Coats of Arms
Having researched and written the Irish Book of Arms,
which I will have on hand, you may have some questions
on the subject, and I will be glad to share what I
know, and let you take a look at the illustrations
and history for each family that I have in the book
See link at top of this article for more info.

All the Rest
That is a good summary. We have many other projects
completed over the years. My web pages had accumulated
100 million hits some time back – so I may have the
answer to some of your questions already…

The Band
This year, The Irish Roots Cafe house band, has been invited to play at the
Dublin Irish fest, on Fri. and Sat. evening, at the
ceili tent at ten thirty. We sing many songs in the
language of our Irish ancestors, as gaeilge, and
yes, I will be on stage singing and playing the Irish
drum, the bodhran.
More on the old style band before we leave later this week

Thank you for your time.
Stop in and see us this coming weekend in Dublin, OH.,
or later in September in Louisville, KY.

Before we begin, a note
I will be appearing at the Dublin, Ohio Irish
Fest on August 1 to 3, and will be at two tents
there this year. First, at the genealogy tent
all weekend. Second at the ceili tent on Fri.
and Sat. evenings, with the Irish Roots Cafe
house band for traditional and old style song.

First of it’s Kind
We have six podcast series on record here,
and hundreds of episodes, at the Irish Roots Cafe.
One series I designed particularly for Kansas City
Irish history, through interviews with experts and
normal folks of Irish descent.

Hundreds of Thousands
The number of hits that we have had
on the web for these shows has run into
the hundreds of thousands. If you have an
interest in the history of the Irish in KC,
it will be worth your time to check these out.

Breakdown: Season 1 and 2
The first 23 broadcasts are interviews with
dancers, shopkeepers, historians, band members,
authors, and various local personalities.
(I also include 3 shows on the Irish in Georgia,
or ‘lost tribes of the Irish in the South).

Browne’s Irish Street Faire, Season 3
Browne’s Irish Marketplace is the oldest Irish family
run business in North America, and it is located in
Kansas City, Missouri.
I have recorded regularly at Browne’s Irish Street
Street Faire, interviewing the man on the street,
so to speak. From the parish priest, to old time
patrons, and interesting folks that I found there.
I have 11 interviews posted online, though I made
many more interviews over 4 years or so.
